R. Lee Dockery is a photographer and artist based out of Austin, Tx. Using bold ideas and studio techniques such as shutter drag and multiple exposure have opened a new creative world to his clients, broadening their visual narrative and bringing an inner anima to the image. Working in the fields of digital and film photography Lees knowledge of the darkroom and its myriad processes gives him the ability to offer one of a kind prints and sessions that spark imagination.

Lee’s artwork comes from a place of abstraction and wonder. Pushing the darkroom to the limits and using a “nothings off the table” mentality places him closer to the artists of the surrealist era than many traditional photographers. Digital and chemical manipulations stand at the forefront and are the crux of his work which spans from portraiture to still life to landscape. Lee has had his work featured in group shows across the U.S. and has been featured in many juried competitions.
